Fit & sizing notes for the SKX007 / SKX009
- Width: buy 22mm straps. Tapered straps listed as 22/20mm or 22/18mm fit too; only the first number has to match. See strap sizes explained.
- Spring bars: 22mm long, about 2.5mm diameter. These are fat bars, so pick straps with holes made for them, or swap to thinner 22mm bars for slim leather (spring bar sizes).
- Wrist fit: at 46mm lug-to-lug it should sit within the top of wrists from about 15.3cm up (rule of thumb: lug-to-lug under ~30% of wrist size). That's longer than 22% of the watches in our index. See what size watch suits your wrist.
- Strap thickness: at 13.25mm thick it's a chunky case: thicker padded leather, rubber/FKM or a heavier NATO balance it visually; very thin straps can look undersized.
The SKX007 (black bezel) and SKX009 (Pepsi) share the same 42.5mm case and 22mm lugs. Don't confuse them with the midsize SKX013, which takes 20mm. The SKX uses thick ‘fat’ spring bars, commonly quoted as 2.5mm, so thin leather straps with small holes may not take them: choose straps made for fat bars, or fit thinner 22mm bars for light straps. Many SKXs have been modded; if yours has an aftermarket case, measure it.
